Digital Art Research ; Unit 12, Unit 29

I found this piece of Digital Art on the website
computerarts.co.uk.
The colours of the image immediately attracted me, as blue is one of my favorite colours, the mixture of blues and tones is beautiful mixture and is extremely attractive for the eyes.
The main font in the middle of the image reads "Things i did, that no one wanted"
The rest of the image is very typographic, with most of the background is filled with logo's and fonts.

I think that the image is extremely expressive and meaningful, by showing the artists emotions, feelings and general interests.

This image is an excellent piece of digital art.
I feel that the artist has used the colours of black and white to sybolise the aggressive discrimination against black people, the colours are infused to suggest that the apartheid is no more, and white people can live together in harmony.
The artwork itself is in the 3rd dimension, which makes it contemporary and unique in contrast to the serious themes of the colours.

The title of this image is Selfillumination.

The Dennotation of the image on a lightbulb, plugging itself into a plug, or maybe it is unplugging itself, which would make more sense. I have no idea how this image was produced and on what program, but i am guessing it was made on some sort of CAD program.
The plug itself is vaguely humanoid, as it has human like limbs and a head, which is the bulb. the colours used are very bland and washed out, i feel that this to give the image a futuristic modern feel as, for example modern furniture is very bland in colour and simplistic.
I think that the hidden meaning of the image is all about energy consumption, and possibly the darkside of energy consumption of us slowly destroying the earth. If the bulb is unplugging itself, it is showing us to turn of our lights to save energy, thus saving the earth.

This title of this image is Flying Machine
The image itself is a what looks like a mechanical fly, posed ready to take flight. The colours used are a mixture of greens and washed out greys.
I don't know what was used to produce this, but im guessing some form of CAD program was used.
I feel that the meaning of this image is that our technology is forever growing, and that soon we will have casual flying machines which will take the place of automobiles.

This image is entitled "Roboshark"

The denotation of the image is a mechanical shark, posed ready for attack in what looks like an imprisonment of some kind.
The shark itself has been produced on a CAD program, it looks like the creation has been inspired by transformers because of the humanoid robotic look. The colours used are all a shade of metallic grey to amplify the robotic theme of the image.
